Kaleidoscope Smart-Plate quilt - Snowy Friends

Bea

WOW Bea, these baby quilts you are making with the pattern from my book are so great! I'm loving the fabric and the quilting looks great too.

This is my version of your "Pink Lemonade" quilt.  I decided to use a purple and green color scheme.  For the border I used a Northcott print, "Napa Valley" by Ro Gregg, as it features grapes, vines and leaves.  Thanks for your pattern and the fun!

Suzzy Thomas

Suzzy- I love the color combo. The name made me giggle until I saw the quilt and how you incorporated the grape fabric!

Hi Sharon,
Well here it is, my first Kaleidoscope Smart-Plate project! I used Moda's All Spice Tapestry charm pack along with fabric from Moda's Blessings line for the top, gusset and handles. I LOVE it along with everyone who has seen it so far.

Connie

Hi Connie!

The bag looks great. I am glad that you are enjoying it.

RIBBIT!

Bea, I love this one!

With the start of the Jewish holiday of Passover and Frogs being the 2nd plague G-d cast upon Pharoh.. seeing this was a real treat!

Thanks for the smile!

Glad to see you are having fun with the Smart-Plate.

Sharon

Hi!
thought I would email you a pic of my first smart plate quilt- I did make a mistake and had to make new HSTs but had enough fabrics to it worked out.
I omitted the border, I compared the size to my daughter's quilt she carries around all the time and it was the exact size, so the border fabric I will use for the backing instead.
It'll either be a give-away or a donation quilt to my church.
I will send a pic when it's all quilted and done :-)

Thanks for sending this Bea. I love it in the pinks!

Sharon,
Here is your Northern Lights pattern (meets Bubblegum Nebulla). This was fun.
Linda

Linda, I love the sparkly effect from the background fabric. Just beautiful! Sharon

Hi Sharon,
I am having such a fun time with the ruler and will attach some picture but will send better ones later. (need a new camera).

Thanks,
Peggy McIntire

Peggy, You are doing a great job! I know you've made more quilts. Send more pictures! Sharon

Hi Sharon,
Here are the picture of the 2 windmill quilts I made. I had a great time putting these together. Once I choose the fabrics, it went really fast.
I am trying to finish the Northern Lights quilt

Best,

Linda

Linda, I love the bright batiks you use for my windmill runner quilts. Can't wait to see your Northern Lights. Sharon

From Debbie Fishel

Debbie, Thanks for sharing your Windmill Runner Quilt. Sharon

Here is a picture of the kaleidoscope baby quilt that I made.
Enjoy,
 Adrienne Kuperberg

Adrienne, That is one lucky baby! Sharon

Sharon,
Here's a picture of my latest. Feel free to do what you want to do with the pictures I send.
First, I'd like to tell you a little about myself. I'm 74 years old, and I'm on dialysis three days a week, but quilting keeps me going the rest of the time. I am now working on the Blue & White one from your book. Like I told Denise in Knoxville, I think that the Smart Plate is the greatest thing to come out since the electric sewing machine.
The reason we didn't meet in Knoxville, was because the owner of our local shop kept you busy. Sandy of the Quilter Quarters in Waynesville.
Right now, I plan to make ten quilts out of your book, as I am to do a presentation at our February Guild meeting. I am the token male in the guild, with over 50 women.
For our challenge piece this year, we were to make something with blue and green, so you see what I've done about that. It is at the quilters now, so I'm anxious to see what she does with it.
Enough for now, my Viking is calling me.

Take care,
Paul

Wow, Paul. Thank you for your compliment on my Smart-Plate and technique. You certainly are a fast worker and I look forward to seeing the others you plan to make. (Though, I am curious which of the 13 quilts are the 3 you have chosen NOT to make?)

Sharon,
Here's two more pictures and I hope to have another one this weekend.

Paul

Thank you for sending more pictures. You sure work fast. They are looking terrific!
